SCARAB - Still Cruising And Rocking And Boozing

We're a social club (established in 2001) with interests in classic cars, rock-n-roll music and dancing, based on the Gold Coast, Australia.

We're celebrating 25 years this year!

The SCARAB CAR CLUB is a non-profit Organization.

1. The Name of this Club shall be the S.C.A.R.A.B. Car Club. (Still Cruising And Rocking And Boozing)
2. Membership shall be open to people with an interest in Classic cars and/or Rock & Roll dancing.
3. The aim of the Club is for friendship and good times through Classic cars and Rock & Roll dancing.
4. New Membership to be nominated by existing Club Member for approval by majority. Resignation in writing to Executive Committee.
5. Minimum Executive Committee shall consist of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Other positions will be created and filled as required. All positions become vacant and are filled at the A.G.M.
6. Members can be suspended or expelled for bringing the Club into disrepute.
7. Members threatened with this action have the right to appeal to the Members at the next Club Meeting.
8. Executive meeting to be held three (3) monthly. Recording of minutes at meetings and signed by Chairperson.
9. Joining Fee $10.00 and Yearly Membership Fee initially $30.00 to be adjusted By Executive Committee.
10. Excess monies to be spent on members after yearly running expenses.
11. Financial year to run from 1st July to 30th June.
12. Proposed amendments of the Constitution are to be advised in writing at least one (1) month prior to the meeting where the change is to be made. All members are to be advised in writing of the proposed amendments and the meeting date when such amendment is to be voted upon.
13. Club books are to be audited before the A.G.M. as per Dept of Fair Trading requirements.
14. All members utilizing Club Plates are to abide by the Queensland Transport Rulings on the use of same.
