Members are advised that the SCARAB Car Club Inc. Gold Coast Qld has added Impromptu Members runs to the Official Club Programme.
As there are sometimes limited opportunities to hold a Club event for all Members to a specific location to gather together, we are encouraging Club Members to hold their own individual event.
Runs can be on any day of the week, but currently for no further than 150 kms from your place of residence.
It may be for a picnic or just a continuous drive.
The idea is to give Members an opportunity to get their Classic Car out of the garage and take it for a run.
To ensure we are still within the guidelines of the of the Historical Vehicle Legislation ("Club Rego" "S.I.V." rules), Members are advised to send an email of their intentions to the Club in advance, giving timings and locations of their run.
It will then be considered an impromptu event.
As well, Members should also carry a completed, printed copy of the attached form with them in the car if queried by the Police, or to present in the event of an accident.
